In some ways, we feel like we've been training for this our whole lives.
What is Cleaning for Health? Keeping work or home environments clean and sanitized is important. However the harmful cumulative effects of harsh chemicals is well documented. So naturally, Green Clean Bangor uses primarily plant based cleaners and disinfectants that are safe to use and leave no harmful residues.
Cleaning for Health also means following some simple steps to achieve sanitized surfaces.
- First step: remove dirt, dust, particles and debris with a vacuum, broom or whisk broom.
- Next: wash surfaces with warm (hot as you can comfortably handle) soapy water. While soap doesn't kill germs it removes most of them so the rest of our job is much easier.
- Sanitize with disinfectant: make sure to use an EPA List-N disinfectant approved for Human coronavirus (updated April 1, 2020).
- Wait: it's a myth that anything kills germs or viruses on contact. Each product approved by the EPA has a recommended dwell time. Dwell time is how long a product needs to be in contact with a surface to be effective.
- Wipe: wipe away smudges, streaks or water marks that may have been left behind by the disinfectant.
There's more. Cleaning for Health begins with healthy, trained employees. Before returning back to work, Green Clean Bangor's staff are trained on OSHA and EPA Covid-19 Guidelines. Training includes proper social distancing, hand washing and face covering best practices. Green Clean Bangor is proud to have always paid sick time. We encourage team members to stay home when not feeling well.
Because we're serious, we don't stop there either. To avoid any unnecessary exposure we clean and sanitize our tools and equipment between clients . Green Clean Bangor employs UV-C (medical grade) lighting to disinfect equipment between uses. UV-C sanitation will be available to our clients by June 1st, 2020.
We're ready to get back to work, are you?
